Brigadier – also called Avtoritet ("Authority"), is like a captain in charge of a small group of men, similar to Caporegime in Italian-American Mafia crime families and Sicilian Mafia clans. He gives out jobs to Boyeviks ("warriors") and pays tribute to Pakhan. He runs a crew which is called a Brigade (Bratva). A Brigade is made up of 5–6 Patsanov or Brodyag.

Yaroslav was a formed member of Solntsevskaya OCG, he was a brigadier of the gang. Somewhere in 2005, he was sentenced for 10 years in a Russian prison, Butyrka. There in prison he went out as an authority of the prison or a so called ''Vor v zakone'' (Thief in law). He was imprisoned for murder.

In 2015, he got out of the prison and his OCG offered him to do a job at Los Santos, he arrived there and did multiple criminal activities for 3 years but after that, he got arrested for another murder and an aggravated assault that led him to the Blueberry's prison.
